APSコース開始まで（６）Entrance Testについて

前回（APSコース開始まで（５）APS３月のスケジュールについて）に引き続き、今回はEntrance Test（IQテスト）についてご紹介します。

Entrance Test（IQテスト）について

３月の始め、オリエンテーションの前に「Entrance Test」ど題されたテストを受けます。実際にIntermediateからのAPS生が全員揃うのはこの時が最初となります。

テストの内容については前回ご紹介した「Info Pack」に下記の通り説明されています。

Entrance Testについて

• Take the Entrance Test – APS Manila to provide schedule, it is usually at the 1st week upon your arrival. Coverage are as follows:

1. Non-verbal exams (IQ Test)

2. Basic verbal and numerical ability

3. Verbal reasoning skills and reading comprehension.

• For the Japanese students - undergo interview with the Department Chair of Political Science - APS Manila to provide schedule, it is usually a few days after the written entrance test. (Those from other countries were already interviewed via Skype, while Japanese students were only interviewed by UPeace in Tokyo)

Note that the Entrance test and interview will determine your status in the Ateneo. Those who will get low evaluation scores for the test and interview will be given a probationary status and will have separate conditions (required minimum grade) to pass the courses in Ateneo.

実際には、確かにIQテストの様なものを最初に受け、その後中学校レベルの数学の問題と、TOEFL/IELTSのリーディングのような問題を解きました。午前中いっぱいかかるため、久々にテストを受けた身としてはかなり疲れました。

対策しようがない感じでしたので、特に気を張らず力を抜いて受験されることをお勧めします（先輩APS生によると、このテストの結果は特にその後に影響することはないとのことです）。
